The "Fangirl" Tag

Image
Most people know that I'm an unashamed fangirl of many things. All my life I've been obsessing over different book characters, TV shows and musicians, so I decided that this would be the perfect tag for me. I love to love things and when I get into something, it's go hard or go home. I did add a few of my own questions because there were somethings that weren't included that I fangirl over constantly, but other than that, let's get started! 1. First person I ever obsessed over?  I consulted with my Mum and she thinks it was Larry the animal trainer from the Clifford the Big Red Dog movie. I used to pretend to be him and I wouldn't let people call me by any other name but Larry. Other obsessions included Murray (from The Wiggles) and Max (from New MacDonald's Farm).  2. Current obsession?  My current obsession would definitely have to be David Bowie. I love everything he's ever done and I currently have three posters of him up around my roo

Inspirational People

Image
Here's a quick list of people who inspire me. Hopefully you guys can get some inspiration from these people as well! 1. Emma Watson Emma Watson is such an inspirational person. She isn't just the actress who plays many of my favourite characters (Hermione Granger, Pauline Fossil), she's also an intellectual who studied at Brown University, an advocate for women's rights, and generally a wonderful person. 2. Michelle Obama This woman inspires me to stand up for myself and what I believe in, and she does some seriously awesome public speaking. Michelle Obama makes me want to stand up and applaud whenever I listen to her talk. The people loved her and she loved them. 3. David Bowie  David Bowie is one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to music and fashion. He was never afraid to be himself or do what he wanted to do. His music was revolutionary and truly defined the music scene in 70s Britain with his genius lyrics, unique characters, and aw

A Day In The Life

Image
Today I'm going to share with you guys what a typical Friday looks like in my life. The day I'm writing about was nothing special. It was completely ordinary and everything went to schedule so this is a genuine look into my life. Enjoy!  Morning So I wake up at 6:00am every weekday and the first thing I do is go to the bathroom. I always need to go to the bathroom when I wake up no matter what. Then I usually do some tidying up, so I'll make my bed, pick up everything off my floor and make sure all my stuff is in it's correct place. After that I'll normally get comfortable on my bed and read the Bible. My Bible has a section at the beginning called read the Bible in a year, so I'll just read whichever section is assigned for the day. I generally pray afterwards. So now I brush my teeth and I feel like I'm always out of toothpaste. It runs out so fast. Next, I'll make my lunch for school. This probably consists of at least 3 fruits, a mai

Study Playlist (the best)

Image
I don't know about you guys, but I need  to listen to music when I study. I also have a specific type of music I prefer to listen to. I can't use music with words because I get too distracted, and I can't have full orchestra pieces or long piano compositions because I either get bored or way too into it. I like music that has something unique about it, which in turn inspires the will to put my active imagination to use. I created the best study playlist ever using my guidelines, and I wanted to share it with you guys. I hope this playlist gets you inspired to study! Check out the link to it at the bottom of the page. The Playlist:  1. Take Three - Jerry Folk 2. Floating on Your Memories - Rhodz 3. Lines - Melosense 4. Twentytwofourteen - The Album Leaf 5. Red Gold Yesterday - LUCHS 6. Anything You Synthesize - The American Dollar 7. Supernovas - William Roud 8. Twin Peaks Theme - Henrik Janson 9. The Meadow - Alexandre Desplat 10. River Flows In Yo

Hermione Granger: Lessons She's Taught Me

Image
Hermione Granger is my favourite fictional character of all time as well as one of my biggest inspirations. I thought I would share the lessons she has taught me throughout my 39 times of reading and re-reading the Harry Potter series in hopes that you could learn a thing or two as well! It's cool to be smart  Hermione Granger is not afraid to show off her intelligence, and this is something that everyone should take in stride. Being one of the protagonists of the Harry Potter series, Hermione gets the main trio out of countless bouts of trouble using her brains and the knowledge that she's gained from reading more than the average person. How cool is that?! She's top of every class and works hard for it which is an example I strive to follow. Stand up for what you believe in Hermione is not afraid to voice her opinion on the matters that she deems important. In her fourth year at Hogwarts, Hermione starts an organisation by the name of the Society for t

The High School Tag

Image
So I'm in high school (we call it college here) and I love answering questions, so I thought this would be the perfect thing to share with you guys! I tag anyone and everyone who wants to do this tag. 1. What grade are you in?  I'm in my second year of high school which is year 10 in New Zealand, but 9th grade in America and other parts of the world. 2. What is your favourite subject? English 100% although Philosophy is a close second. I've always loved to read stories and create my own which is why English appeals to me so much, however Philosophy is great because I love to extend my mind and challenge myself during thinking processes (and I think a lot). 3. What cliques are there in your school?  There's not many. Most people just hang around with whoever they want, but there's definitely a "popular" group. Other than that, the groups in my school are pretty diverse which I'm very glad for. 4. Which clique or group are you in?  As I

The *Ultimate* School Checklist

Image
With heaps of people heading into back to school season and the rest of us still at school, I thought it was definitely appropriate to write up an ultimate school checklist! I actually forget everything when it comes to packing for school and I wondered if you guys have the same problem, so after writing up this checklist, I decided to share it with the internet in hopes that I can save some poor soul from forgetting their entire pencil case like I do at least once a week. The Checklist  Pencil Case:  Writing utensils (pens, pencils) Pencil sharpener  Rubber/eraser/correction tape Colouring pens and pencils  Highlighters  Markers  Stapler/hole puncher  Tape Glue stick  Ruler/protractor USB  Sticky notes  Scissors  Compass  School Bag:  Pencil case Lunch/money for lunch  Exercise books  Timetable  Laptop/charger  School ID  Planner  Binders/dividers/folders  Hygiene:  Deodorant  Hand sanitizer  Wet wipes  Rubber bands/hair ties  Feminine

How To: Organize Your Life

Image
But all things should be done decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40)  I have a pretty busy life. Between juggling dance, singing, church, cello and school work, I don't have a lot of free time to procrastinate. I have to be on track every single second. Unfortunately for me and I'm sure for a lot of people as well, I'm prone to procrastination. Unlike most people however, my procrastination is out of hand. I can't help it! If I stray from my schedule for even one minute, I may as well give up and watch how to stop procrastinating YouTube videos as a form of procrastination (which I'm ashamed to say I do). Back on topic though, I love organizing things. It helps me stay motivated and on schedule throughout my day and I think I've got it pretty sussed. Here are some ways you can keep your life organised and in turn, stay on track.  1. Clean your room and keep it that way I know, I know, you've heard this one before, but I seriously c
